Premium Naphthalene-Based Synthetic Retanning Agent for Leather Processing
Rockytan RP2 is a weakly acidic, naphthalene-based synthetic retanning agent specially developed for the production of high-quality leather. Its versatile formulation makes it suitable for virtually all types of leather, including upholstery, garment, shoe upper, bag, and leather goods applications.
Thanks to its excellent dispersing and bleaching properties, Rockytan RP2 improves leather uniformity, enhances dye penetration, and helps achieve cleaner, brighter shades—particularly in white and light-colored crust leathers.
Key Features & Benefits:
Product Description:
Rockytan RP2 is an anionic, naphthalene-based syntan designed to optimize retanning performance and improve the overall quality of finished leather. It can be used independently or in combination with selected retanning agents to enhance fullness, color uniformity, and processing efficiency.
When used during neutralization together with agents such as sodium formate and sodium bicarbonate, Rockytan RP2 minimizes surface deposition and promotes better distribution of retanning materials throughout the leather structure.
Its excellent dispersing properties ensure homogeneous penetration of dyestuffs, amino resins, and replacement syntans, resulting in more consistent leather characteristics.
